Glowworm boilers we don’t generally work on

We typically don’t work on Glowworm boilers older than the current generation of Glowworm Energy and Ultimate 3 boilers.

We have a lot of experience working on the older Glowworm models, even the Saunier Duval derivatives of the Glowworm/Vaillant boilers, but unfortunately we Just don’t work on these anymore.

Older models we have had a lot of experience working on include the Glowworm cxi combination boilers, and the likes of the Saunier Duval Thema Classic and Thema Condens combination boilers.

Unortunaley we just don’t have the appetite for working on these older models anymore, plus space to carry boiler spares comes at a premium

How to tell when your Glowworm boiler needs a repair

Obviously if your Glowworm boiler stops working suddenly and won’t reset is a good way of telling that your boiler needs a repair!

Sometimes though you may be able to reset your Glowworm boiler and it may keep working intermittently for a while, but often your boiler will stop working altogether at some point.

If you are experiencing any of the following fault codes intermittently, then it will generally be a good idea to get your Vaillant boiler looked at by a professional;

Most of the fault codes are the same so the information is still relevant.

So if you intermittently experience the F27, F28, F29, F61, F62 or F75 fault codes, then it is worth getting your Glowworm boiler checked over before it stops working altogether, as it probably will at some point.

How much does a Glowworm service or repair cost?

The cost to repair your Glowworm boiler is going to be determined by the boiler model, its age, what parts it needs and how long it is going to take to repair.

We will ask you for some details such as the age of your boiler, the exact model, when it was last serviced and for the details of any fault code it may be displaying.

Common issues with Glowworm boilers

Common issues with Glowworm boilers can vary depending on the type of boiler.

For Glowworm Energy and Ultimate 3 combination and system boilers common issues can include;

boiler leaking and losing pressure, boiler leaking only when in use but not losing pressure, or boiler needing to be re pressurised every time after using central heating.

If your Glowworm or Vaillant boiler is losing pressure it will generally result in an F22 fault code.

Fans can sometimes fail on Glowworm Energy and Ultimate 3 models, and their Vaillant equivalents, which generally results in an F32 fault code.

Pump sensors or pumps can fail, which generally results in an F75 fault code.
