The F76 fault code is one you don’t generally want to see on a Vaillant ecoTEC boiler.
On some ecoTEC boilers they have a thermal fuse built into the primary heat exchanger. If the thermal fuse is exposed to excessive heat(200 degrees celsius), the fuse will fail and your boiler will stop working and display the F76 fault code.
This fault code technically means that you need to replace the primary heat exchanger as it has been exposed to too much heat and it is damaged and cannot continue to work safely hence the fault code.
Sometimes the wiring harness can fail which will also cause this fault code to show.
