Confused Vaillant ecoTEC Plus Combination boiler with F62 and F27 fault code
This is a short clip of a first generation Vaillant ecoTEC Plus combo boiler with the F62 fault code.
The F62 fault code can affect any Vaillant ecoTEC Plus boiler.
A lot of the time the F62 fault code is going to be related to a faulty printed circuit board(PCB).
If you are experiencing the F62 fault code you may be able to reset your boiler for a period of time, but eventually your boiler will most certainly stop working altogether and you won’t be able to reset it anymore.
Sometimes you may see the F62 fault code alongside the F27 fault code as shown in this video, or it may even combined with the F61 fault code at times.
On first generation Vaillant ecoTEC Plus boilers like the one shown, you may even see an F64 fault code occasionally, or the “con” fault displayed instead.
Faults like an intermittent F62 or F27 fault code can often be misdiagnosed by engineers inexperienced working on Vaillant ecoTEC boilers.
This is why it is best to try get someone who has experience working on Vaillant ecoTEC boilers to fix your boiler if it breaks.
